three words

If you could give three words of advice to a Presidential candidate, what would they be?

 True to Yourself

Many people that are trying to be president lie about facts about them and some of the things they believe in to get more people to vote for them.  I think that the United States would be able to choose a better person to be the President if the candidates stayed true to themselves, and we really got to know the real them and what they would do for our country.

highschool

highschool, highschool, highschool. its been one of the things that has been the most on my mind lately.  I’m going to Mercy High School next year, and it brings up a lot of changes.  I havent met anyone at the school that im attending now that is going to the same school as me next year.  This brings me some fear, because i’m quite possibly not going to know anyone next year.  I guess its a good thing because then i can make new friends and meet lots of new kinds of people. I wont have anyone to judge me, because well no one will have heard anything about me. At first i didnt want to go to an all girl school for many reasons.  Too much drama, lack of boys, and just less fun.  I then realized that there are many high points to it also.  No one to impress, dont have to get ready in the morning, and it will be easier to focus.  I have big goals that i want to accomplish in my life, and i think with less distractions and a better education, it will help me further up the road in my life.  Im going to try to be a part of anything that i would be good at in the school, and do lots of things to get me into a good college.  I have dreams of becoming a lawyer, and i think that high school is a main factor to getting into a good college and to help with the start of the rest of my life.  Highschools finally here, ready or not here it comes!

believe in yourself!

I think that this blog post was about a girl that was differnt.  She chose to use her mind, and be creative about what she thought the world was going to be like in the future.  She was really creative, and she didnt c are if she sounded crazy, she just kept on telling her ideas, to everyone that she was brought to.

i think that this blog post was trying to get a couple of points across.  When you have an idea, and you really understand and believe it, even if it is a little weird, you shouldnt hold back.  get it out there. you could really get known for something exceptional.  I mean if no one used their minds, and thought of something amazing, we wouldnt have nearly any of the things that we have today.

i think that when everyone heard about her ideas, they sent the little girl to the doctors and therapists, to see if their was something wrong with her.  But she didnt care, and she stuck with her ideas everywhere she went, and told everyone that wanted to listen.  I think this is trying to show to stand up for what you believe in ,and dont give up if you really believe in somthing.

Her mom started crying, because she thought that something was wrong with her daughter, but the daugter didnt care.  i think that this shows that if you know something is right in your heart, then you shouldnt care about what any other people think, follow your heart and mind.

impact on my life

the one person in my life other than my parents that means a lot to me and had a huge impact on my life, is my great nana.  There is so many things about her that i love, and i want to be just like her throughout my life.  She is the most self less person that i have ever met, and she would do anything to make the people that she loved happy.  Even when she was very sick, she always worried about everyone else around her.  I got to know her really well, and i used to spend almost every day with her.  Even though she died when i was just 7 years old, i still remember everything about her and all the time i spent with her.  When she got sick, they moved her to a nursing home right near my house.  My mom brought me to visit her almost everyday.  I feel that i got closer to her than she got with any of her other grandchildren.  She passed away in the year 2001, but she still lives in my heart.  I know it sounds weird, but i know when she comes to visit me.  I can feel her presence, and i know her scent.  Her birthday was Christmas, and every year on Christmas, she comes to visit me.  When others in my family pass away, i normally know something happened before i hear, because she comes to visit me.  When i have problems, or need to make big desicions, she comes to see me and it helps me get through everything. I miss her and think about her everyday, and she is irreplaceable

i wonder.

theres a lot of things in my life that i always wonder about.  I wonder why people get caught up in the littlest things? i wonder why people need to grab all the attention? i wonder how long its going to take people to realize the things that really matter in life? i wonder…

People in our society today seem to get caught up in none of the things that matter the most.  Everyone is always worrying about who said what, and all the latest drama going around the school and town.  I think that everyone that im around is getting to the age where they understnad that its all stupid, but yet they still trigger it, and get into it.  I wonder when people are actually going to let things go in one ear and out the other, and stop spreading everything around.

People in our society seem to think that no ones is going to like them or they are not going to have people notice them unless they do something to grab all of the attention on a daily basis.  In my opinion, those people are insecure about themselves, and need people to reassure them that they are worth something.  I wonder when people are going to realize that sometimes sitting back and being yourself can get you places in your life.

Most people in our society have plenty of friends.  Everyone gets so caught up in the LITTLEST things to be worried about.  In reality, theres people dying every second and tragic things happening all around us.  Theres people around the world that have NOTHING.  No home, no money, no family, etc.  If some of these things were happening to someone in your family or to someone you love, you wouldnt be thinking at that moment about what your wearing, or what your friend said behind you back. Keep it to yourself, keep the ones you care about the most close to you always. Because in the end, you will need them.  I wonder when people are going to finally face reality, and findout that the little things to start fights and worry about are not worth your time.

I wonder…

“My problem is this: Yellow Jackets are infesting my feeders.”  I read an article about yellow jackets in a garden.  i typed in blog+insects because i wanted to learn something new about a certain kind of bug.  I just stumbled apon this article, and i decided to give it a whirl.  This article was about someone who was putting feeders out and cleaning them, but everytime all these yellow jackets kept coming and getting all in the graden.  He was allergic to these bugs, and everytime he would have to get put in the hospital.  I thought this article was interesting.http://blog.windstar.org/2007/05/yellow_jackets_.html

the enviroment

“Never mind what you’ve heard about global warming as a slow-motion emergency that would take decades to play out. Suddenly and unexpectedly, the crisis is upon us. “  I heard that and i knew it would be the perfect thing to write about the enviroment. It’s at the north and south poles, where ice cover is crumbling to slush ,that the crisis is being felt the most acutely. You probably hear alot lately about global warming, but it just goes through your mind. You think that the “other” people in the world are going to take care of it, but EVERYONE needs to pitch in to help our world. There are many horrible things that can happen to the world if global warming continues. If the warming gets worse, as scientists expect, there may be some kinds of plants and animals that become extinct because they can’t move to new homes. There may be more storms and floods. Sea level may rise so much that people have to move away from the coasts. Some areas may become too dry for farming.
